DALLAS (SMU) - In an economy that may be on a downhill slope toward recession, the vitality of entrepreneurship continues to thrive in North Texas. Last night, winners of the 11th Annual Dallas 100 Awards were announced at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Topping the list this year is WorkPlace USA.
WorkPlaceUSA is widely recognized as a comprehensive source for workplace solutions. Dallas-based WorkPlaceUSA has developed a unique, integrated project management system that simplifies the planning and implementation of complex business decisions, significantly compressing project schedules and controlling costs. WorkPlaceUSA's professionals, using an integrated approach, offer professional services in consulting, technology, real estate finance, development, architecture, engineering, construction, interior design, new urbanism and aviation. The company's vision provides for globally expanding its end-to-end business services to encompass virtually every industry impacting the workplace including telecommunications, e-commerce, financial services, human resources, insurance, energy services, transportation, procurement and many other business services.
The Dallas 100 Awards are presented by SMU's Cox School of Business Caruth Institute and the CEO Institute. The awards recognize the fastest-growing private companies in the North Texas area. Businesses must have had sales of at least $500,000 and not more than $50 million in fiscal year 1998, and have a three-year sales history with an increase in fiscal 2000. Both percentage growth and dollar growth are considered in the contest.
