NetworkIP Introduces e.Local Dial Access Prepaid Calling Cards;
Enables Distributors To Market Long Distance Calling Without 1-800 Fees
Nov 7, 2001
NetworkIP, an industry leading e.Application and Access Exchange provider of converged voice and data services today will introduce its new e.Local Dial Access product at the Intele-Card Expo 2001 in Las Vegas, Nev.
The e.Local Dial Access allows distributors to offer to end-users a local access calling card that eliminates the need to dial 1-800 numbers for access and avoids incurring the associated surcharges at payphones. (Surcharges for prepaid long distance calls at payphones typically cost as much as one dollar per call.) The offering saves money for the end-user and creates a loyal customer base for the distributor.
"Distributors can create hometown brands, which build customer loyalty and repeat business," said Pete Pattullo, president and CEO of NetworkIP. "For the end-users who make lots of calls, avoiding those recurring surcharges will be a significant savings each month."
Because the access numbers for the cards are local, end-users can use a long distance calling card by dialing specific local numbers for each designated city. In addition, the end-user can also use a 1-800 access number if out of the local access area. For a distributor or retailer, this will create separate revenue opportunities for every city in which it has a presence.
For the end-user, the e.Local Dial Access service will include all of the advantages common to other NetworkIP offerings, including cost containment and accessibility. The product feature can also be "bundled" on a single PIN with all of NetworkIP's services.
In addition to e.Local Dial Access, NetworkIP offers a variety of voice and data services that can enable distributors to generate new revenue. Current services include e.Prepaid Calling Cards, e.Prepaid Long Distance, e.Prepaid Internet (dial-up Internet service), e.Conferencing and DuoCash Stored Value Transactions.
