FINANCIAL ANALYST/ACCOUNTANT
We are seeking a Financial Analyst/Accountant who would manage, maintain and verify the billing system to ensure accurate billing of telecommunications network usage and facility usage for numerous account payables. Potential candidate would research and solve discrepancies or conflicts with billing charges.

REGULATORY MANAGER
Position Summary
Manager of regulatory compliance for multiple telecommunication companies. Prepare and file FCC, USAC, PUC/PSC and Secretaries of State (“SOS”) tax and regulatory reports and supporting documentation concerning all telecommunications compliance for both wholesale and retail entities. Manage reporting requirements and deadlines to ensure compliance with regulations and company policy. Provide guidance and training to company personnel and customers regarding regulatory compliance and regulatory matters. Review and provide input for regulatory information in customer contracts.
Major Responsibilities
- Preparation and production of electronic and/or paper regulatory filings for FCC, PUC/PSC and SOS in all 50 states on a timely basis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with FCC personnel, and other local, state and federal offices as required to assure prompt processing of all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory attorneys for guidance on complex regulatory issues or in cases of alleged complaints or penalties/violations filed against the company.
- Research, analyze and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding regulatory information and provide regulatory guidance and training on an ongoing basis through field training or via teleconference.
- Research, review, interpret, communicate and implement existing and newly promulgated FCC, PUC and SOS guidelines; review and manage internal documents for compliance with guidelines.
- Manage relationship with third party vendor acting as Companies’ registered agent in all states and with regulatory attorney on federal matters.
- Write regulatory articles for semi-annual customer newsletter.
- Responsible for understanding Companies’ emerging communications service offerings and the resulting tax implications.
- Coordination with accounting and sales departments to forecast future taxes and regulatory fees and their impact on customer pricing structures.
- Manage reporting requirements and deadlines to track compliance with regulations.
- Manage and develop Regulatory Assistant.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or other related discipline or equivalent experience in regulatory compliance
- Minimum three years experience in accounting, regulatory or governmental compliance experience in a commercial environment (preferably telecommunications or technology)
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry and knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to telecommunications a plus
- Knowledge of government administrative procedures, policies and requirements
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently

Our code base is primarily written in the Zend Framework, we routinely do unit testing using PHPUnit. You must be able to work in our Austin office.
