Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Implementation of excellent code in both compiled and dynamic languages
• Analyze system requirements in cooperation with business analysts, project managers and other engineers
• Design, development and execution of unit and systems tests
• Design and implementation of database tables and other components collaboratively with database administrators
• Planning and execution of code and network deployments
• Shared maintenance responsibilities for our services and network

Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and nontechnical team personnel
• Working knowledge of Python, C, Java, or PHP
• Experience with programming in a multithreaded Linux environment
• 1 – 4 years of work experience

Additional consideration to candidates with following:
• SS7, SIP, ISDN, RTP, TCP, UDP, IP, T1/E1 protocol familiarity
• Excellent communicators very highly valued

PHP Web Applications Developer

NetworkIP is looking for a full-time salaried PHP Developer to join the Web Development Team in Austin, TX.

Description
• Responsible for creating new web based interfaces using Zend Framework, jQuery, CSS3, and HTML5

Required Skills
• Core competencies and 4+ years experience with object-oriented PHP, HTML, SQL, and MVC architecture
• Works well in a team environment and can communicate with other teams
• Able to handle deadlines, after hour maintenances, and development cycles
• Adheres to web development best practices, PEAR standards, and W3C validation
• Can gather and document product requirements
• Must be able to work out of the Austin office

Preferred Skills
• Experience in CSS, MySQL, jQuery, Linux, Zend Framework, SOAP and REST a plus
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering a plus
